Masters in Engineering Management (MEM) is a specially designed degree for engineering graduates to build the link between engineering, technology, and management.

Difference between MBA and MEM

MEM focuses to develop students (a graduate in engineering) with technical knowledge to have business acumen in strategy, marketing, and finance. It focuses on specifics within the engineering sector.MBA focuses on students to enhance leadership skills and gain a strong foothold in finance, marketing, accounts, operations management, and human resource. The program does not particularly concentrate on technology.

Requisites to join MEM course

  • The student should be a graduate in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) degree or have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

  • GMAT or GRE scores, some schools may waive this away in case of candidates with more than 3-5 years of work experience.

  • TOEFL or IELTS scores for non-native students.

  • Letter of Recommendation

  • Statement of Purpose and a few essays on specific topics mentioned should be submitted.

Selection Process

  • The first selection will be based on the evaluation of the student’s application and supporting documents

  • The pre-selected candidates would be invited for an interview in person or on Skype.

  • Overall profile including Global Admission Test Score, extracurricular and previous work experience (if any), ambition to rise up the managerial hierarchy, etc. would be considered.
